CFR Family Highlighted on ABC's Good Morning America

When she realized that she couldn't make ends meet for herself and her son, Crystal Boatright, 47 knew she had to seek help. A licensed real estate agent, Boatright watched as her income dwindled and became inadequate to pay her mortgage or to make a trip to the grocery store.

"You would have never known to look at me that I had only $10 left to my name," she said. She called the United Way 211 call center and found services and programs at CFR to get her back on her feet.

CFR was able to assist Boatright with her mortgage and provide food from the pantry. Boatright has also enrolled in stress management and budgeting classes.

"The staff at CFR was able to mentor me and guide me in the right direction so I can be better prepared to handle a crisis if it happens again, she said. I know I need to me more than one paycheck away from this, I need to be six paychecks away."

CFR welcomed ABC producers and crew as Crystal shared her story. The services provided were briefly highlighted on air on Monday, April 20.
