Volunteers from the community are one of The Center for Family Resources’ most valuable treasures.

Whether they are assisting with in-take, offering a helping hand around the office, or teaching one of our educational classes, volunteers play an integral role in the day-to-day operations of CFR.

Various opportunities are available for individuals and groups to enrich the lives of others while enriching their own. In addition to providing a place to meet new people and make new friends, CFR volunteers discover the personal rewards of sharing their gifts and talents, expertise, and experience. The Center for Family Resources offers one-time projects for individuals and groups, short-term activities, and ongoing everyday tasks. Corporate and civic organizations are also welcome to give their time and talent to help CFR meet its mission of strengthening individuals, families and communities.

The Center for Family Resources recognizes the invaluable efforts put forth by our many volunteers. In 2007, CFR and its clients benefitted from more than 8,300 hours of service (dollar value of nearly $157,000) provided by committed volunteers that included members of our Board, committee members, Junior League members, Oscar Night ® America 2007 volunteers, Thanksgiving volunteers, mentors, professional organizations, and individual community members.
